Day 28

After bidding farewell to our great New London hosts Si and Cyb, it was off to Niagara, an estimated 8 hour journey across 3 states and 2 countries. So here are the highlights/lowlights of the road trip:

- Missing our first turn off on the trip...getting out of New London, involved a Hollywood style, wheel screeching, U-turn,
- Spotting our first really, really, really big fatty American at one of the food stops, but here's the funny bit he was right behind us in the queue 50 miles down the road at Dunkin' Donuts too. You had to be there.
- Ruth playing the game I coined "different plates from different states". It basically involves ticking off the 50 states as you see a number plate from there. She's up to 27 and pretty excited about it too. Better than car cricket,
- No speed cameras, and no speeding tickets,
- Passed the Basketball, Boxing and Baseball Halls of Fame, oh and the Womens Hall of Fame??

Was a pretty uneventful road trip really and it teemed from Syracuse onwards and into Canada. The bloke running our hostel was a 70 something Scouse who played league for Widnes and Great Britain, and man could he talk, he was pissed too, so when we eventually checked in we had to help HIM up the stairs. It was far too wet to leave the car so did a drive by of the Falls....pretty.
